Game Time! “Helen” here we come…

Hopper Challenge 2-6-10 Prelim Results

36 students and 1 friend (who got quickly introduced to CrossFit) came out to participate in today’s “Hopper” Challenge.

Here is a taste of what it was like today:  “3-2-1 GO!”, high fives, “One more rep!”, cheers, “Let’s go! You can do it!”, clapps, sweat, “Don’t come off the bar!”, kids playing, family and friends competing, “Great Job!”, . . .PRs.

What a great turn out this am, lots of energy! It was awesome to watch everyone give it their all. That energy today is how you help build better atheletes.

It is always the challenges and tests that remind us what a strong community you guys have grown at CFS. Even if I wasn’t 100% able to participate, I still would have shown up to cheer, because fun times like today are reminders of why I have grown to drink the koolaid of crossfit and constantly drive me to improve, grow stronger, and heal/recover faster.

Thanks coaches and my fellow CFSers you guys set the tone for the weekend, let that energy carry you through.

How do you feel about running? Do you love running and want to keep getting better and faster? Do you hate running and find it frustrating? In either case, the only way to improve is to KEEP RUNNING. Nobody gets better at anything by NOT doing it. Every great athlete at one point was the new guy, learning, fumbling and failing just like the rest of us. People who have achieved "mastery" don't ever stop the work, though. They exercise their "show up, don't quit" attitude over and over. A great way to make the "work" interesting is to put some "skin in the game" and to do it with a group of like-minded people. Which leads me to...the CrossFit Scottsdale 5K Challenge. Are you in?? Cost is $25.00 per participant. Sign up by emailing infor@CrossFitScottsdale.com or signing up at the gym.
