“The Power of a Challenge”

What better way to break in the new leader board than with the Hopper Challenge Finals!

After only 21 days CrossFit Scottsdale CRUSHED their “Helen” times.

Every challenge not only at CrossFit Scottsdale but in life as well brings with it a mix of emotions. Anxiety, fear, anticipation, excitement, enthusiasm and many more that sometimes are not as clear cut.  We say in CrossFit that if your workout doesn’t scare you than you’re not doing it right!  Our hope is that if you come in with any or all of those emotions as you approach the WOD, do it, give yourself 100% and accomplish it that you grow as a person. Your courage, character and confidence just got that much stronger and you walk out with your head higher.  You not only crushed a WOD but you got better at life today!  That is our goal, that CrossFit makes you better at LIFE!  Today we accomplished that.  30 students left with their heads held high and an attitude that they can do anything today!  That is the power of CrossFit and the challenges at CrossFit Scottsdale.  If you missed it you missed out!

Congratualtions “Hopper” Challenge Participants!

    Hopper Challenge 2-6-10 Prelim Results

36 students and 1 friend (who got quickly introduced to CrossFit) came out to participate in today’s “Hopper” Challenge.

Here is a taste of what it was like today:  “3-2-1 GO!”, high fives, “One more rep!”, cheers, “Let’s go! You can do it!”, clapps, sweat, “Don’t come off the bar!”, kids playing, family and friends competing, “Great Job!”, . . .PRs.

  • The Hopper Challenge!

    CHALLENGE YOURSELF WITH THE UNEXPECTED!

We train for the unknown and the unknowable. What better way to test our training than a Hopper Challenge. Here’s how it will work:

We will place 21 different WODs into the “Hopper”. Saturday February 6th we will spin the hopper and select one WOD. From 8-10am we will run heats of the selected WOD. Your goal is to do your best on the WOD selected. We will be scaling the WOD for beginner, intermediate and advanced so all levels are encouraged to participate.

21 days later we will redo the selected WOD. Saturday February 27th from 8-10am will be the “Hopper Challenge” Finals. You will have had 21 days to train crossfit style and see how much you have improved on the surprise WOD.

Prizes will be awarded for most improvement in Male and Female categories as well as fastest time/best score for the beginner, intermediate and advanced categories depending on the WOD selected. Prizes will be a free upgrade to unlimited training for 1 month and for our already unlimited folks you get your choice of some pro-shop merchandise or an extra private skill lesson.

This is the perfect way to test your skills and hit it hard going into the second month of 2010!

    Only $21 to participate.
Sign up in the gym to reserve your spot!
