Hello,
My name is Kanon. Some of you know me from CrossFit Kids. I am the youngest of all the students. I love burpees! My daddy has been teaching me how to do them since I was born. It really helps me with my hitting when I play baseball. I’m pretty lucky to have my parents cuz they can get me new cleats, gloves and gear. When I heard that there are other boys and girls right here in Arizona that cant afford Little League uniforms or gloves or even hats. I got pretty sad but my daddy said not to worry and that he had an idea.
Arizona Baseball Charities and CrossFit Scottsdale have teamed up to turn a double play. By having Kids Run for Kids everyone WINS. The race is this Sunday at Scottsdale stadium at 11am. I’m going to be running with my daddy cuz I am only 3 but anyone can run under age 12. The coolest part is that we get to run inside the stadium and finish around home plate.

…and after the race there is a celebrity softball game. Like my daddy always says that’s two things I like baseball and free.

Some were ugly some were sweet” Level testing is every 60 days. The next Level II test will be in February. Level I in April. Please congratulate these guys when you see them in class. They earned it.

Our goal with kids isn’t to get them on the zone, but to get them to think and make good choices about what they eat. Our goal is to teach them very basic concepts, sugar is bad, protein is good and you need to eat some in every meal. Nuts and seeds are good fats. Eat them, don’t avoid them. Pasta, white bread, and white rice are not that good for you, stuff that’s red, yellow, green and found in the fruit and vegetable aisle is good for you. Eat a lot of it.
Look at your plate, make a fist, eat that much meat every meal; turn your hand over and fill it with nuts and seeds, eat that much good fat, fill the rest of your plate with stuff you found in the fruit and vegetable aisle. Fill your plate this way at every meal, don’t eat more.

Alright Moms and Dads, the weather has finally broken. Turn off the tube and get outside with your kids. They get stir crazy too and it’s been HOT for long enough. Don’t just sit around and watch them run. Get up and get involved. Run, jump, lunge and play tag. It’s good for everyone. Try this family wod.
